Building #1 – Workshop
Not insulated, framed in 2x4 with loft for storage, concrete floor, sliding
access door, and the exterior is finished with pressed wood.

Located at civic address 66 Grants Cove Road on PID# 40439465. The house has
vinyl siding, one full bathroom, and three bedrooms. The house is heated by
an oil fired hot air furnace and has its own well and septic system. This
house serves as an office and parking. The house needs some repair and cosmetic
work.
Building #3 – Office, Coolers, and Packing
Facility
Built in 2000, this building has the steel frame of a Greenhouse, with metal
siding, and a double-poly for roofing.
Building #4 – Hydroponics Greenhouse
Built in 1976, this greenhouse is set up for hydroponics growing, but doesn’t
have a concrete floor. The growing beds are raised on benches with a vapour
barrier to address moisture issues.
Building #5 – Cucumber Greenhouse
Built in 1993, it contains 8 bays, 20’ wide connected at the gutters,
and is approximately 10’ high.
Building #6 – Tomato Greenhouse
Built in 1983, this has 11 bays, 21’ wide connected at the gutters,
hydroponics system with raised growing benches over a full concrete floor
and re-circulating system.
Building #7 – Large greenhouse complex with
boiler room connecting two sections.
Purchased in 1999, this complex is separated in the middle by a boiler room
and water supply tank room. The two centre greenhouse sections are 85’x300’x20’
high at the centre of the wooden arch. The arches are separated 10’
apart and the double-poly roof is held down by nailed wooden strapping. The
whole greenhouse has concrete flooring with raised growing benches. The hydroponics
systems are all automated and the ventilation systems are at each end respectively.
There is a fogging system to lower the heat during the summer.
Building #8 – Heating Complex
Built in 2001, this heating complex includes a metal archidome shaped shell
(52’x52’) with large wood waste burning furnace. The furnace has
the capacity to heat all three main greenhouses and is said to produce energy
at the equivalent of 16 cents per litre in oil costs. The complex alone is
estimated to have a RCN value of $1,500,000.
